This Privacy Policy explains how Alpha Doors & Security, Inc. (“Alpha Doors & Security,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information about you when you visit https://alphadoorsnewjersey.com (the “Site”), contact us, request a quote, or use our door, security, locksmith, access control, CCTV, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). 

Service area, licensing, and audience. Alpha Doors & Security is a corporation organized under the laws of the State of New Jersey, with its principal place of business in Hoboken, New Jersey. We currently perform our door, security, locksmith, and related services in New Jersey and New York, and we are expanding into additional states; we perform licensed work only in states where we hold the licenses required for that work. Separately from where we perform services, our website, communications, and marketing (including calls, text messages, and emails) are available to individuals throughout the United States who choose to contact us or opt in.  

Audience and international visitors. Our website, communications, and marketing are intended for individuals located in the United States. While we currently perform our door, security, and locksmith services in New Jersey and New York (and are expanding into additional states), our calls, text messages, and email communications are available to individuals throughout the United States who choose to contact us or opt in. Our servers and operations are located in the United States, and any information you provide is processed and stored in the United States under United States law, which may differ from the laws of your jurisdiction. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with the laws applicable to you, and you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. 

By using the Site or providing your information to us, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or submit information to us. 

1. Information We Collect 

a. Information You Provide to Us 

We collect information you voluntarily provide, including when you request a quote, schedule service, fill out a form, or contact us. This may include: 

  • Identifiers such as your name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number; 
  • Property and service details, such as the address where work is to be performed and a description of your needs; 
  • Communications you send to us, including messages, emails, and call recordings or notes where permitted by law; and 
  • Billing and transaction information necessary to provide and invoice for Services. 

b. Information Collected Automatically 

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain information through cookies and similar technologies, such as your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring URLs, and dates/times of access. We use this information for analytics, security, and to improve the Site. 

c. Information From Third Parties 

We may receive information from advertising and analytics partners, lead-generation sources, and call-tracking providers (including our telephony and messaging provider) when you interact with our ads, forms, or phone numbers. 

2. How We Use Your Information 

We use the information we collect to: 

  • Provide, schedule, perform, and invoice for the Services you request; 
  • Respond to your inquiries, quotes, and service requests; 
  • Send you transactional communications, such as appointment confirmations, dispatch and arrival updates, and service follow-ups, by phone, text message (SMS/MMS), or email; 
  • With your consent, send you marketing and promotional communications, including offers, seasonal reminders, and review requests, by phone, text message (SMS/MMS), or email; 
  • Send you promotional emails where you have opted in, each of which includes an unsubscribe link you can use to opt out at any time; 
  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and Services; 
  • Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security incidents, and misuse; and 
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements. 

3. Text Messaging (SMS/MMS) and Calls 

Where you provide your telephone number and the applicable consent, we may contact you by telephone call and by text message (SMS/MMS) through our telephony and messaging provider. Specifically: 

  • Consent is collected separately for informational/transactional messages and for marketing/promotional messages, and one type of consent does not imply the other; 
  • Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply; 
  • You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can get help by replying HELP; 
  • Mobile opt-in information and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes; and 
  • Consent to receive marketing messages or calls is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

4. Email Communications (CAN-SPAM) 

If you provide your email address and opt in, we may send you promotional and marketing emails. We handle these consistent with the federal CAN-SPAM Act: 

  • Every marketing email identifies who it is from and includes our valid physical postal address; 
  • Every marketing email includes a clear way to unsubscribe, and we honor opt-out requests promptly (and in any event within 10 business days); 
  • We do not use false or misleading sender names or subject lines; and 
  • Transactional emails relating to a service you have requested (such as appointment confirmations and invoices) may still be sent even after you opt out of marketing email. 

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies 

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure performance, and support analytics and advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect Site functionality. Where required by law, we will request your consent before placing non-essential cookies. 

6. How We Share Information 

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances: 

  • Service providers. With vendors who perform services on our behalf (such as scheduling, dispatch, telephony/messaging, payment processing, hosting, and analytics), under obligations to protect the information; 
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person; 
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets; and 
  • With your direction or consent. When you ask us to share information or otherwise consent. 

As stated above, mobile opt-in data and SMS consent are never shared with third parties for their independent marketing. 

7. Data Retention 

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it. 

8. Data Security 

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, consistent with applicable law, including the data-security requirements of the New York SHIELD Act for the personal information of New York residents. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a breach of security affecting your personal information, we will provide notice as required by New Jersey law, New York law (including the New York SHIELD Act), and other applicable law. 

9. Your Privacy Rights 

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights regarding your personal information. A number of U.S. states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Florida, New Jersey, and others, have enacted privacy laws that may give you some or all of the following rights: 

  • To confirm whether we process your personal information and to access it;

  • To obtain a portable copy of your personal information;

  • To appeal a denial of your request, where the applicable law provides for an appeal. 

We do not sell your personal information for money. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in the “Contact Us” section below. We will verify your request and respond as required by the law applicable to you. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you are a resident of a state without a comprehensive privacy law, we will still make reasonable efforts to honor access, correction, and deletion requests. 

10. Children’s Privacy 

The Site and Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review their policies.
